Third World is the longest-running self-contained hit-making reggae group in the world, celebrating their 30th anniversary with AIN'T GIVIN' UP, their first new studio album in four years. The secret of their success has been to combine their reggae roots with accessible songs and melodic pop overtones, a recipe that is just as evident here as it always has been. Eleven of the 14 tracks are new group originals which mix love songs with inspirational and message material. But they also perform a moving ballad version of Bob Marley's "Natural Mystic" and Mick Hucknall's "More Love". Special guest vocalists include Julian Lennon, Glen Washington and dancehall sensation Lady Saw. The album reveals Third World to be as vital as ever, an exceptional quintet of singers and players delivering music with universal appeal.
