Collector's digipack series. 2 original albums on 1 CD. Includes 4 bonus tracks. There’s Simply no Sound in the Blues as instantly recognizable, and as Easy to Play and Sing as the Music of the Great Jimmy Reed. He was One of the bestselling bluesmen of All time. With his laid-back, slurred singing style stretched Over a Lazy, Easy Boogie rhythm, and punctuated by Short runs on his racked harmonica, Reed brought a Kind of hushed, unhurried Urgency to Everything he recorded. This essential CD features two of his over-looked LPs released by the vee Jay label: the Long unavailable masterpiece Jimmy Reed at soul City (which, despite its title, was actually recorded in the studio) and the equally splendid Sings the Best of the Blues. Both albums have been re Master Ed and packaged together in this special collector’s Edition, which also contains 4 bonus tracks from the same period.
